Weoley Hill Village Council is a residents’ association which is elected to represent the interest of people in the Weoley Hill area. The Council serves as an important link between residents and public bodies like BVT, the City Council, the police, and Birmingham University. It deals with matters of local concern that impact the general well-being and community life of the area. The Council is also responsible for organising some of Weoley Hill’s most popular events. These include the annual bonfire event, which the Council organise in partnership with Weoley Hill Cricket Club and Scout Group. Council meetings are held once a month on Wednesday evenings at 5.00pm at Weoley Hill Village Hall. There is a break in August and December
